The Eighteenth Sunday after Trinity

 Collect (Prayer):

God, our judge and saviour,
teach us to be open to your truth
and to trust in your love,
that we may live each day
with confidence in the salvation which is given
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
 
Bible Readings:
Genesis 32.22-31, 2 Timothy 3.14-4.5, Luke 18.1-8

Prayer After Communion:
We praise and thank you, O Christ, for this sacred feast:
for here we receive you,
here the memory of your passion is renewed,
here our minds are filled with grace,
and here a pledge of future glory is given,
when we shall feast at that table where you reign
with all your saints for ever.

Service of Remembering – 2 November – 5.00pm
We will be marking All Soulstide with “A Service of Remembering” at 5.00pm.  Tea will be at 4.00pm.  
As before, we invite to afternoon tea those who have been bereaved in the last two years.  If you can bring a contribution for the tea on the morning of the service, please sign the list in the Narthex.  
If you would like a loved one remembered at this service, please sign the list in the Narthex by the 27 October.  Thank you.

Lone Worker Policy
This Policy has recently been reviewed by the PCC.  Letters with a copy of the Policy have been issued to all Key Holders, Home Communion, Sacristy, Flower and Cleaning Teams.  These letters are in the Narthex for collection.  Please could you read the Policy and return the acknowledgment slip to Lesley in the Parish Office.  Thank you.
