Worship and Prayer

An Introduction to our Worship

Worship and prayer are at the heart of all we do at St Andrew’s.

Morning Prayer is said on Tuesdays by Zoom Call (details in weekly newsletter) and in the Lady Chapel on Wednesdays and Fridays. All are welcome.

The Eucharist (or Holy Communion) is celebrated at 10.00am on a Sunday. It is usually a sung service with hymns and a choir, although singing is severely restricted during the coronavirus pandemic. A modern form of service is used.

A said celebration of the Eucharist is held on a Wednesday at 10.00am.

Occasional Sunday evening services are normally held using a wide variety of worship styles.

We have a Messy Church congregation that normally meets about 5 times a year.

The church is normally open for private prayer during office hours - Tuesdays to Fridays from 8.30 to 11.30am.

Whatever you come to you are assured of a warm welcome. Children are welcome, and for the very young a children’s corner is always available. Toilets, including one with disabled access, are available. There is no dress code: come as you are. Feel free to join in with as much as you wish, or simply rest in the worship.

Please contact the Parish Office on 01823 332531 or a member of the clergy if you have any questions.
