Serving God in
the heart of our community since 1881
St
Andrew's Church, Taunton
We welcome you to our website
"
St.
Andrew's is a community of celebration and of hope"
This is how o
ne
of our church members recently described St Andrew's, and
our aim is for this website to capture that spirit online -
our faith, our worship, our people, and our community. We
hope that you will enjoy looking around, and will come back
often, as the site is updated every week.
Our church is first of all a spiritual
centre, a place where people can find God, be nourished in
their spiritual journey, and grow in their life of faith. If
you could come along to one of our services your presence
would be a joy to us and to God.
If you have any questions or
suggestions please do contact us using the 'Get in Touch'
button. You will find all of our contact details
there, including access to a location map. We also love to
know a little more about our web guests, and would really
appreciate it if you could take a moment to sign our
Visitors' Book.
Again, welcome and thank you for visiting our
site.
HOLY WEEK AND EASTER
AT ST. ANDREW'S
*and with
our Local Ministry Group
Easter: the power of transforming love
The
message of Holy Week and Easter is both simple and profound: there are
no limits to God’s love. It’s not conditional. There is no point at
which God says “that’s it – I wash my hands of you”. It’s an
extraordinary message. A transforming message.
As
Easter day dawns God offers us the opportunity to resurrect the life we
were meant to live... lives not meant to
conform to the world, but
transform it!
Our
prayer for you this Easter is that you will experience God's
transforming love. We warmly invite you to join us at St. Andrew's for
any of our special services.
An opportunity to
offer the events of the past week to God, and to be renewed and
nurtured in preparation for the week to come. A warm welcome
awaits you at this sung Eucharist, which is at the heart of our
weekly pattern of worship at St. Andrew's.
This service includes a special activity for children.

“In
the beginning was the Word, and it is the Word that gives life. But
in the end there is silence. The silence when all our halting and
approximate words, even the finest and most memorable of them, come
to an end. The books are shut. Poets Corner closes for the night.
And in the ensuing silence two things remain. Gratitude; and
wonder.”
