How long have you attended St Andrew's? 4 years
What do you do? Retired teacher
What church activities are you involved in? I'm a Reader, sing in the choir and help organise Voices Raised! our junior choir
What are your five favourite things? Mozart, singing, Terry Pratchett's Disc World novels, France, a glass of wine in the garden with friends
Can you describe a book you read recently in one sentence? 'Forsaking the Family' by Simon Parke - looks at Jesus' attitude to family relationships (through both blood relationships and the wider community). I took it on holiday and couldn't put it down.
What is your favourite television programme? The one programme for which I would switch on the TV is 'Countdown'
If you could have lunch with two well known people, who would you invite? Desmond Tutu for his enjoyment of life and Matt Dawson for his enthusiasm for life
What is one of the most important things you have learned in life so far? We should worrying so much about "things" and think more about people
Why is your Christian faith important to you? It would leave a gaping hole in my life if I lost it - I would be like a ship adrift on the ocean
How does your faith affect the way in which you live your life day to day? I try to start each day with God, through Bible reading and prayer, so that hopefully I will see him in the faces of the people I meet during the day
What is special about St. Andrew's for you?

The people: their warmth and friendliness

The music: the breadth and depth from old and new

If you could say one thing to someone thinking of coming to St. Andrew's for the first time, what would it be? Come with an open mind and be prepared to enjoy it (don't worry if you don't understand everything that's going on)
