Serving God in
the heart of our community since 1881
St
Andrew's Church, Taunton
Welcome to St.
Andrew's Parish Library
"When gifted writers
express what we already know to be true, we recognise our own thoughts
and take them more seriously."
Robin Meyers
If your image of church
'book stalls' is dry, dusty old tomes that no one has read for years,
our Parish Library will surprise and delight you. Full of bright,
up to date books, by authors who write not for academics but for
ordinary people, many consider the library one of St. Andrew's most
valuable resources. We regularly update our stock of books and you
will always find something to inspire, nurture and sustain you on your
spiritual journey.
The library is run by a
team of voluntary librarians, who are always ready to help, but equally
happy to leave you to browse in peace.
A free resource
Anyone can join the library
- just speak to the librarian on duty after the 10am Sunday service.
All we need is your name, address and telephone number to enrol you as a
member. Then you can borrow up to three books at any one time,
completely free of charge. All we ask is that books are returned
or renewed within a month. (If the book you want is already on
loan, we can reserve it for you when it is returned.)
