Voices Raised!
Voices
Raised! is a
choir especially for young people from age 8 onwards, who love music and
singing. We welcome everyone who would like to sing in a choir – you
don’t have to audition, but it’s best if you are willing to have a go
and learn as you go along. We meet in the church, on Fridays from 7.15pm until 7.45pm, during term time
only.
We sing
a wide range of music – world music, modern music and some older pieces
– the important thing is that it should be easy to learn and fun to
sing.
If you are a member of Voices Raised you will be
able to take part in our monthly family services at St. Andrew’s. We
won’t expect you to come to church every Sunday, but you would be more
than welcome to sing with the main choir if you wished.
Voices
Raised! is run by Alan and Ruth Cook who are both experienced
musicians. In addition to being Director of Music at St. Andrew’s
Church, Alan is also Music Adviser for the Bath and Wells Diocese.
