Parish
Library gets a makeover!

by
Adrian Smith, Webmaster/ Librarian
The Parish Library has been
given a major makeover. This popular facility at St. Andrew's
should now be even more user friendly. Books have been more
clearly categorised, and sections are included for popular authors,
spirituality, biography, the Bible, faith, and many more. The
intention is that by spreading the books out they can be more
effectively displayed, and browsing will be easier and more enjoyable,
as well as making it easier to find a book on a particular subject.
St. Andrew's authors
There is a brand new
section in the library which brings together all the books by authors
who are connected with St. Andrew's. We are blessed to have such
creative people associated with St. Andrew's and I believe it is right
that we should celebrate this - this little corner of the library is one
way of doing that!
At the moment in this
section we have the following books:
Jeremy Harvey (www.jeremyharveyauthor.com)
Marion Dunlop -
Teacher and Healer
Valuing and
Educating Young People - Stern love the Lywood way
Henry Haslam
(www.moralmind.co.uk)
The Moral Mind
Katharine Smith
The Way of the Cross
- meditations on the death of Jesus
Michael Ford
Wounded Prophet - a
portrait of Henri JM Nouwen
Disclosures
Eternal Seasons
Father Michael Judge
- an authentic American heroe
Song of the
Nightingale
Sheila Harvey
Sheila's Book - a
shared journey through madness
We will shortly be
obtaining the book written by Sigurd Reimers about family therapy.
Do you know of any
other books by folk associated with the church, past or present,
that I should be looking to acquire for this section? If you do,
I would be delighted to hear about them.
