New website for organists and choirmasters

Somerset Organists' and Choirmasters' Association has just launched its own website - www.somersetoca.org.uk.

SOCA are a group of organists, choirmasters and other interested in church music and the Association covers most of Somerset. Talks, organ recitals and visits are arranged for members, and the aim is to encourage organists and musicians of all abilities to develop their skill and expertise.  The Association currently has around 60 members.

The site is intended to promote the organisation and its goals.  It has been designed and produced by St. Andrew's webmaster Adrian Smith who said: "I love organ and choral music (especially Bach) but have little musical talent, so it has been a pleasure to contribute to the Association in this way. I hope that the website is of help to SOCA for many years."

The Association has other close links to St. Andrew's - Director of Music Alan Cook is a member, and Parish Administrator Ruth Cook is SOCA's membership secretary.
