St Andrew's welcomes our new Vicar Jim Cox, his wife Doreen, and their
children Natasha, Chloe and Thomas
by
Adrian Smith, Webmaster and Communications Officer
2 October
2007
Jim's Institution and Induction as our Vicar took place on Tuesday 2
October, with the The Bishop of Taunton and Archdeacon of Taunton, a
large number of the St. Andrew's community, and with many
representatives of Jim's previous parish in Smethwick. All had come to
wish Jim well in his new ministry and to welcome the family to their new
home.
All of us at St. Andrew's pray that Jim, Doreen and
their family will share many years of fellowship, joy, peace and
fulfilment with us at St. Andrew's.
Jim, 41,
was until recently the Vicar of Holy Trinity Church, Parish of the
Resurrection, Smethwick. His wife Doreen is a Consultant
Radiologist and will be based at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
Jim and Doreen have three children, Natasha who has
started university, and Chloe and Thomas who are at primary school.
At a
reception after the service the Churchwardens at St. Andrew's, June
Acreman and Stephen Grimshaw were presented with some bottles of wine,
as a token of appreciation from the PCC and the church for their
leadership and extremely hard work during the interregnum.
