Are you on the Parish Electoral Roll? by Ruth Cook, Parish Administrator and Electoral Roll Officer 29 April 2007
This year we were required to carry out a full revision of the Electoral Roll and this was done in March and April.
All current members on the Roll were sent a form and there were also forms available for new members.
In March the Roll stood at 160. Of these, 41 people did not return the form prior to the Annual meetings but we were pleased to welcome 8 new members. The Roll at the date of the Annual meeting therefore stood at 127.
If you had a form and still wish to return it, then please do. We would welcome your membership.
Also, if you are not currently a member, but have been baptised and live in the Parish or attend St Andrews regularly then you are eligible to join the Roll. Please contact Ruth Cook in the Parish Office if you would like a form.
As Bishop Peter says “ By doing this you are indicating your commitment to being part of a lively, vibrant, faith community in your local parish. Being a member of your local church can give you the support and encouragement that you need to keep faithful to God in the world today.”
