A Letter from Mind

My name is Jo Middleton and I am writing on behalf of Mind in Taunton and West Somerset with regards to your concern about our office on Kingston Road. I understand that many people in the area were surprised to see the office close and would like to know what is happening to Mind in Taunton and West Somerset.

 

Firstly, may I apologise - we obviously should have been more aware of the impact of the office closing on the local community and I realise now that we should have taken more time to let people know what was happening.

 

The Mind Skills and Opportunities Centre on Kingston Road was funded for two years by Skills for Care.  Unfortunately, despite valiant efforts, we were not able to secure ongoing funding for the project and we had to take the difficult decision in the end to close in September.

 

However, we are still up and running!  We have office bases both in Taunton, on Canal Road, and in Minehead and still offer a lot of valuable services including Peace of Mind, our day centre, and Mindline, our out-of-hours helpline.
