That Goat! - a reply from Tricia, Reader at St. Andrew's

'That goat'! What a fine name for a goat.

I see that you're using your name for your boat.

I wish I could come for a sail on the moat,           

to go for a float in a boat with a goat.

But soon we'll be travelling the A303,      

to visit my Dad. He's soon 93.

We won't be stopping at Basingstoke town.

(Basingstoke usually produces a frown.)

We have to travel a bit further on.

Dad lives in a town with the name of Alton.

Will you be rambling about on the Quantocks?

I hope he has bought you strong boots and thick socks.

I'm pleased that at last you're a goat with a name.

You waited so long - but we know who to blame!
